Dominance · one of you carries it
One person has the whole channel; the other has neither gate. The carrier simply lives it, and the other receives it and learns from it. Clean roles, and restful when both accept them.
Compromise · the friction lines
One person has the whole channel; the other holds only one of its gates. The whole-channel side sets the tune and the one-gate side tends to feel their half overridden. Naming this out loud is usually all it takes to soften it.
Electromagnetic · defined only together
You each bring one gate and the channel closes between you. This is the classic attraction current: energy neither of you has alone, and both of you feel it when you meet.
Companionship · you both have it whole
Channels you each carry complete. Nothing new fires when you meet; this is the comfort of shared ground, the part of the relationship that feels understood without effort.
