Line 3 · Transition · the crisis is a door
What feels like collapse is often passage. This line survives by walking through, not camping in the rubble. Keep moving; the other side is real. Keep a walking pace through the wreckage: one arranged thing per day, however small. Motion is the difference between a passage and a residence, and this gate was built for passages.
Line 4 · Containment · private weather, public composure
Not every internal storm needs broadcasting. Process the turbulence in chosen rooms while functioning in the rest. That’s not repression; it’s containment with a schedule. Honor both halves of the schedule: the composed hours and the appointed room where the storm gets its full hearing. Containment without the hearing becomes pressure; with it, it becomes grace under weather.
Line 5 · The mended heart · feeling survives the wound
Loss in this gate cuts deep and heals deep. Let the grief be real and finite. The heart that has actually broken and mended feels more afterward, not less; that’s the strange arithmetic. Let the mending be witnessed by someone; grief processed entirely alone heals crooked. The heart re-set in company carries the load evenly for the rest of its life.
Line 6 · The lighthouse · experience pays forward
After enough waves, this line can stand with others in theirs without flinching. Earned steadiness is the gift. The crisis veteran becomes the lighthouse; every storm was training for the post. Stand visibly where the new-to-storms can find you: the mentorship, the support room, the friend who has clearly been somewhere. Your calm in their weather is not technique; it is testimony, and it holds because it was paid for.
