The snapshot

Hover any bead for its planet and reading; hover any gate number for its door into the library.

What am I looking at?

A snapshot of the sky, drawn as an instrument. The ring carries the twelve months, the zodiac and the 64 gates of Human Design; the beads are the Sun, Moon, planets and lunar nodes, each placed exactly where it stood. Hover any bead and a dashed sight line runs to the Earth at the center: where that line meets the rim is the gate the planet activates, and the body itself surfaces beneath the bead.

Why does every planet appear twice?

Human Design reads two skies. The bone colored set is your Personality: the sky at the moment you were born, the side of you that you know. The red set is your Design: the sky about 88 days earlier, while your body was being built, the inheritance you carry without watching it. Two beads for each planet, one moment each, twenty six activations in all.

What are the numbers around the rim?

The 64 gates of the wheel, each a slice of the sky about five and a half degrees wide, each divided into six lines. When a planet stands in a gate, the number lights gold, and its reading appears beside the wheel as gate and line: 52.1 means Gate 52, line 1. Hover any number for the gate’s name, its center, and a door into the library.

Why do the beads sweep into place?

Because the sky arrived at your birth moment; it did not start there. When the clock loads a chart, every bead approaches along its own orbit at its own true pace: the Moon crosses a great arc, the Sun a handful of gates, and the slow outer planets barely stir. Then the whole sky settles at once, because a birth is one instant.

Where do the readings come from?

From the same certified engine that draws every chart on this site, computed from your exact date, time and place with Swiss Ephemeris grade precision. The clock is the display, never the calculator: after the beads settle, the page checks all twenty six readings against the engine’s own numbers before it trusts what it shows you.
