Line 1 · Creation · the work needs no witness

Line 2 · Love is light · passion is the power source

What you make glows in proportion to how much you love making it. That is not romantic decoration, it’s mechanics: forced work reads flat, loved work attracts. When the love has gone out of a project, that’s real information; follow it. Check the love the way other people check budgets: honestly, on a schedule. You cannot fake the glow, and everyone can see it; the projects that carry it recruit their own audiences while the dutiful ones sit unread.

Line 3 · Endurance · the spark is cheap, the staying is rare

This line carries the fuel to keep creating long after the first excitement fades. Your originality shows up in the staying, not the starting; the third draft is where you actually appear. Pace yourself and let the work compound. This is the line of the maker who is still there in year seven, and that itself becomes the signature. When the early dazzle of others fades, your accumulated body of work starts speaking; nothing about the long road was wasted.

Line 4 · Aloneness · solitude is the studio

The expression in you composes itself away from the crowd, and it degrades when made by committee. Time alone is not isolation here, it’s the workshop. Guard it without guilt; what you bring back is the gift. Tell the people who love you what the closed door is making, and they will guard it with you. The loneliness worth watching is only the kind that follows you back out; the working solitude never feels like that.

Line 5 · Magnetism · the work draws the crowd

Your expression has gravity: people gather around what you make, sometimes before you think it’s ready. Being seen is part of this design, not a distraction from it. Let attention come to the work; you never have to chase it. The discipline is readiness rather than promotion: keep the work true, keep it findable, and be gracious when the gathering starts early. Attention drawn by the real thing stays; attention chased leaves with the next act.

Line 6 · Objectivity · the long view

You can step outside your own creation and judge it coldly, which is rare and valuable. That distance is not a lack of feeling; it’s what lets the work outgrow your attachment to it. Wisdom here is knowing when to stop polishing and call it true. Use the distance in both directions: it can also tell you when a piece deserves more devotion than your boredom wants to give. Judged coldly and loved warmly, the work gets the best of both hands.
