What is the Right Angle Cross of the Sphinx about?
The old Sphinx sat by the road into the city and asked every traveler the same riddle, and the answer was always a human being: the one creature that walks differently in the morning, at noon and at evening. The Right Angle Cross of the Sphinx carries that riddle. Its four faces all keep their Sun in the G center, the seat of identity and direction, and each one stands at a doorway of the year.
