Gate 41 · Contraction
Gate 41, the Gate of Contraction, sits in the Root center, the pressure center of adrenaline and drive. In the mandala it spans 2°00′ Aquarius to 7°37′ Aquarius, and the Sun crosses it around January 23 – 29 every year: five and a half days when its theme colors the collective weather for everyone. Gate 41 is also where the Human Design wheel begins: the Sun’s arrival here each year is the start of the Rave New Year.

With Gate 30 (Feelings) in the Solar Plexus center it forms the Channel of Recognition (30-41): Focused fantasy: feelings hungry for experience.

This line can defer its desires indefinitely, waiting for an approval that never comes. Stop waiting for permission to want. Authorize the dream; the energy follows the signature. Notice whose permission you were waiting for and retire the committee; most of its members are past voices with expired jurisdiction. The wanting was already yours. The signature makes it official.
Line 6 · Contagion · the dream spreads
Mature, your anticipations become collective: the trip everyone joins, the project that catches. Shared fantasy is how this gate seeds the future. Dream out loud, selectively. Choose the co-dreamers for follow-through as well as enthusiasm; a shared fantasy is a commitment wearing party clothes. Seeded in the right circle, your anticipation becomes the trip everyone is already packing for, and the future arrives with company.
